Feed It — Privacy Policy. Last updated: June 9, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Feed It ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use our iOS application. Feed It lets you log meals by voice or text and stores your meal history in the cloud when you create an account. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to third parties.

By using Feed It, you acknowledge the data practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Process

Voice and Text Input

When you describe a meal, you may speak (voice mode) or type (text mode). In voice mode, your audio is processed by Apple's Speech Recognition service — either on your device or via Apple's servers — to produce a text transcript. Feed It itself never receives or stores your raw audio.

The resulting text transcript of your meal description is sent to the Google Gemini API (Google LLC) to estimate nutritional values. This text is transmitted over an encrypted (TLS) connection and is used solely to generate a nutritional estimate. It is not linked to your account.

Account Information (optional)

Feed It does not require an account. You can log meals as a guest — data is stored only on your device. If you choose to sign in with Sign in with Apple, we receive:

This information is used solely to create and identify your account. We do not use it for marketing.

Meal Data (cloud accounts)

When you are signed in, your logged meals — including meal name, timestamp, nutritional estimates, and individual food items — are stored in our cloud database (Supabase, hosted on AWS). This data is protected by row-level security: only your account can read or write your meals. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Crash Reports and Diagnostics

Feed It uses Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) to automatically collect crash reports when the app unexpectedly closes. Crashlytics collects device model, iOS version, app version, and a stack trace. If you are signed in, your anonymized Supabase user ID is included to help us investigate repeated crashes. Crashlytics does not collect your meal data or voice input.
